As part of our continued leadership in regional event and meeting planning initiatives, Anna Marie Rembold has been named as Committee Chair for the Green Meeting Industry Council ‘s (GMIC) Spring Fling (Northern California Chapter). In this leadership role, Anna will be spearheading the planning and execution of GMIC’s premier fundraising event to be held on May 10, 2016 at The Empire Room in San Francisco and catered by Fine & Rare.
GMIC is a global community of Fortune 100 event planners and independent event organizers dedicated to advancing sustainability in the meetings industry through education, establishment of a green resource network, promoting sustainable practices through research, policy positions and establishing and promoting industry green standards. With a trend-setting strategic leadership team including representatives from Symantec, the Gap and Genentech, The Northern California Chapter of GMIC, the organization’s largest, is dedicated to promoting the local region as the “go-to” green event destination.
With an attendance of over 100 guests, the Green Meeting Industry Council’s Spring Fling includes a silent auction, catering by Fine & Rare, entertainment by Entire Productions and an industry awards ceremony, which recognizes industry professionals who exemplify the values of the Green Meeting Industry Council. The Northern California Chapters’ premier event, Spring Fling will raise funds for the Northern California Chapters five education programs with additional event proceeds benefiting the San Francisco Carbon Fund, a vehicle for conferences and conventions to mitigate their event-related green house gas emissions by investing in projects within the City and County of San Francisco.
